PSM Recruitment are recruiting for a part time Catering Assistant to join a team for our client based in Dover.

This is a varied role within a busy restaurant environment, providing excellent customer service, serving quality food and drinks, and supporting the wider team to ensure the restaurant runs smoothly. This role will suit someone with previous catering assistant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and take and serve food and drink orders
• Provide friendly, professional customer service and help create a welcoming atmosphere
• Operate the till, manage the float and complete cashing-up procedures
• Assist the Chefs, Head Chef and General Manager as required
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the restaurant and facilities
• Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Complete daily, weekly and deep-cleaning duties
• Assist with restaurant opening and closing procedures
• Promote products and actively upsell to customers where appropriate
• Help ensure food and service are delivered consistently to a high standard
• Carry out other duties as required to support the smooth running of the restaurant

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Diligent and reliable
• Previous catering assistant hospitality experience would be beneficial
• Flexible approach to work
• Good communication skills
• Friendly and customer-focused
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Confident working independently and using your own initiative

Permanent - Part-time hours – 30 hours per week, on a shift rota.
