Logistics Coordinator – Night Shift

Location: Dover (On-site)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Competitive, plus benefits
Hours: 12-hour night shifts, 7pm–7am

Shift Patterns Available

• Alternating Monday to Thursday / Tuesday to Friday
• Permanent Monday to Thursday
• Permanent Tuesday to Friday

PSM Recruitment is working with a leading logistics specialist based in Dover, providing international delivery solutions to customers across Europe and worldwide. We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join their night shift team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful, fast-paced logistics operation, coordinating shipments and helping ensure deliveries run smoothly and efficiently overnight. You will support the planning and management of transport solutions across Europe and worldwide, working to strict deadlines and communicating effectively with colleagues and transport partners to resolve any issues, previous logistics or transport experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor time-critical shipments, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met.
• Work with the Team Leader to maintain best practice and efficient working procedures.
• Understand European driving regulations /restrictions and how these affect transport planning.
• Identify and escalate transport delays or operational issues, helping to find effective solutions and support client communication.
• Work alongside the supplier management team to identify gaps in carrier availability and maintain strong relationships with transport providers.
• Record and escalate carrier non-conformances in line with established quality procedures.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and ensure relevant transport and customs documentation is completed correctly.
• Help ensure a high standard of service in a busy, time-sensitive environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous logistics or transport experience is desirable, not essential.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Additional language skills would be advantageous.
