Job Description
PSM Recruitment is working on behalf of a successful branding company based in Margate, seeking a Embroidery Machine Operator. This is a well-established and growing business with over 20 years of experience producing high-quality branded clothing for customers across a wide range of industries.
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and detail-focused Embroidery Machine Operator to join their busy stitch room team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with embroidery machine experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality work.
The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating Tajima embroidery machines efficiently and accurately, including 2 x Tajima TFMX-C1504 4-head machines, 1 x Tajima TFMX-C1204 4-head machine, and 1 x Tajima TEMX-C1501 single-head machine.
Key Duties:
- Loading embroidery designs, threads, backing materials, and garments into machines
- Setting up and operating multi-head embroidery machines
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments where required
- Carrying out quality control checks on finished products
- Assisting with routine cleaning and maintenance of embroidery equipment
- Folding, inspecting, and packing completed garments ready for dispatch
- Working closely with the production team to meet targets and deadlines
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Following company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience operating embroidery machines is essential, and experience using Tajima embroidery machines would be highly desirable. Applicants should have a good understanding of embroidery techniques, threads, stabilisers, and garment types, along with experience operating multi-head embroidery machines.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to producing high-quality work, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy production environment. Good communication skills, a positive attitude, reliability, flexibility, and the ability to work well within a team are all important for this role.
Salary & Hours:
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
